I don't know if it's similar at all, but you might reach out to Heather (Rau) to find out about her experience as a young child with extreme shyness and what helped her... when she was in pre-k/kindergarten age she had extreme shyness that caused her first episodes with alopecia areata... She was so shy and stressed about her classroom environment that her hair fell out! It might have been another issue but could help.
ReplyDeleteShe ended up repeating that grade, and she really came out of her shell since she stayed in the same room, same teacher, etc. From there it was smoother sailing... no more alopecia until USMA stress!
