Another Celebration!

Since the past few weeks haven't been crazy enough, we decided to squeeze in one more big event this past Sunday: Ethan's Baptism!

It was one of the last things on our mind while travelling to and fro during this past month of road trips, but we realized once together with family that this past weekend was possibly the only time that everyone could make it before we move in a few months. So, thanks to a very accommodating pastor who was willing to schedule a baptism on short notice and a wonderful family who was willing to make yet another road trip, suddenly Sunday was the big day!

Ethan was baptized using special water that Peter's parents sent us from a lake in Norway where his ancestors are originally from.Ethan looked especially handsome in his baptismal suit, which was white as a symbol of his purity and freedom from sin. He is a very lucky little boy to have some awesome Godparents in his life; I know that my brother, Matthew, my sister, Michaela, and my dear friend, Tera will help guide and influence him in so many positive ways as he grows, and they'll be amazing role models for him to look up as he begins to venture out on his own (just not too soon!).

We were very thankful that Matthew, Michaela, and my parents were able to be there in person on such short notice for Ethan's big day. The "rest" of our family--our wonderful nanny, De along with her kids and husband--also came to support Ethan and help us celebrate. Despite everything being so last minute, it went amazingly well and I was so touched by all those who helped to make it such a special day for us and for Ethan!
