Diana and I went to high school together, and though I wish I could say we were better friends then, I do remember some fun times working together at one of my first summer jobs at Carlisle Barracks. I also remember that she had (and still has!) one of the sweetest moms ever. Thanks to the beauty of technology, I've gotten to keep up with her a lot more in recent years. I got to "see" the joy of her engagement, her beautiful wedding and marriage, and share in the excitement of her pregnancy and the birth of her first son this past year.
But on Christmas Day she was also diagnosed with cancer. Let me say that again: Christmas Day. The specific cancer she is battling is called ALL, and she's been at the fight now for 44 days. Diana is such a trooper--she's gone through multiple rounds of chemo, and was not in remission after the first round of treatments as hoped. So she has been going through more chemo and will be looking at a possible bone marrow transplant in the future.
She is one of the most beautiful, inspiring, loving, and compassionate women I know, and she's an even more incredible wife and mom. (Her six-month-old son is also one of THE most adorable little boys in the whole wide world!).
To add to her list of amazing-ness, she started a blog that she's been updating every day since she began this journey. She shares good, the bad, and the ugly of her treatment, and of course many adorable pictures and videos of her sweet baby boy.
Thanks in advance for all the prayers, my friends...and love and blessings to you, beautiful Diana!

Lots of prayers and love sent her way. Thanks for sharing Megan.
